Lesser Of 2 Evils? Or just 2 Evils?!

This Tuesday is Election Day. If you don't vote, you've got no right to complain. Do it, be part of the process. Every year, tens of thousands of people try to come into this country because they can't vote where they come from... How am I voting? I keep that close to my chest (but not hers!)

Bwwaaaaa Haaaaaa Haaaaaaaa

Happy Halloween!

I LOVE Halloween! I'm carving a pumpkin in a bit then passing candy out to the knucklehead kids in the neighborhood...but you know I can't just blog about Halloween without bitchin' about something! Soooo.....

We need to take every city, village & township who did Trick Or Treating LAST NIGHT and send them to France. That's flippin' UN AMERICAN! It's like opening your Christmas presents on Christmas EVE! Halloween candy is for HALLOWEEN...

Some people suck!

You don't need a Flu Shot!

You'll help avoid the flu if you simply eat right! Make sure you get your daily dose of fruits and veggies. Take your vitamins and bump up your vitamin c. Get plenty of exercise because exercise helps build your immune system. Walk for at least an hour a day, go for a swim, take the stairs instead of the elevator, etc. Wash your hands often. If you can't wash them, keep a bottle of antibacterial stuff around. - Get lots of fresh air. Open windows whenever possible. Get plenty of rest. Try to eliminate as much stress from your life as you can.

OR ... You can take the doctors office approach.

Think about it, when you go for a shot, what do they do first? Clean your arm with alcohol. Why? Because alcohol kills germs. So...... I walk to the liquor store (exercise), I put lime in my Corona (fruit), celery in my Bloody Mary (veggies), drink on the bar patio (fresh air), get drunk, tell jokes, and laugh (eliminate stress) and then pass out (rest). The way I see it, if you keep your alcohol levels up flu germs can't get you!!!!

And "THEY" say Front Wheel Drive cars don't handle well...

Just click on the subject to see this Wild video! I don't know any more about the driver or the car, but it must be VERY light to do what it does in this clip.

Helluva Weekend...

Saturday was the "British Car Show & Go" at Gingerman Raceway here in West Michigan. I was one of the instructors for our students...showing them the proper way around the track and how to reach the limits of their cars in a safe, controlled location. Of course, Mother Nature wanted to be part of the day too so it POURED rain much of the day. Be honest with you: it was a lot of fun driving in the wet. I spent some quality time in a 300+ horsepower Mitsubishi Evolution, all wheel drive, big brakes, big turbo...and drifted the thing perfectly through the wet...what a rush!

Mom came to visit on Sunday to celebrate my birthday. She's big into local art fairs & such...and found an artist with a racecar print that she had customized with my racecar's name (Jethro...with the "e" backwards!). Pretty neat piece.

Also...I've got word from Mark Albert from WWMT in Kalamazoo. My ugly mug will be on TV on Thursday, November 4th in the 11pm newscast. Mark did a story on "Blogs": who does it, why, will it last, etc... It was fun to be on TV and I'm sure he'll do a great job editing and producing the package. I'll try & get it on tape to post on the net.

With all the TV shows on about custom bikes, I figured I'd seen it all. Then this comes along!  Posted by Hello

It's my BIRTHDAY!

God help me...can I really be 35 years old?

Aren't you supposed to be "successful" by the time you're 35? Shouldn't we be well on our way to the "future" by the time we're 35? When you hit 35, did you question who you are and what you do?

Awww, what am I griping about...I've got it good. Cool wife. Great friends. Nice home. A freakin' Race Car! Heck, the TV guys from Channel 3 are going to be here in my office today. I suppose it could be worse.

Happy birthday to me. I'm a pretty lucky guy!

I'm totally proud of Julie, after years of long, poker straight hair, she cut off 10 inches of it for a bold new look. Her tresses have been donated to Locks Of Love, who will use her hair to create a wig for kids with cancer who've lost their own.

The new look? Pretty sassy! It's above the shoulders, has some curl into it and flips out at the ends...awfully cute if I do say so myself (although I'll admit I'm a bit biased!). Posted by Hello

Hammer: Freakin' TV Star!

So...how big is this "Blog" thing? WWMT, Channel 3 from Kalamazoo wants to ask me! So, after conquering morning Radio, Cable TV commercials, live seminars filling minds with mush and more...these guys want to ask me my opinion about typing my daily diary. Suckers!

I'm working on my soundbites now!

Hey guys, you'd better bring an extra Beta tape just to be safe!

It's Friday...sort of...

I'm taking tomorrow off to give the commencement speech at the Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts (can you believe that $#!t...suckers!). That makes today "Friday" for me at the office, but I've got plenty to do so I can safely not be here tomorrow.

Went to the dentist today. My hygenist has great red hair, but had an annoying habit of watching the TV in our booth that was tuned to the Today Show. Hey You; pay attention to my damn molars! Turns out, I've got 3 small cavities that need to be filled. No, I don't have dental insurance so I'll be returning beer cans to pay for it. I suppose I could try to work up some freelance work too...know anyone who needs a radio commercial?!

This is REALLY gross...

I warned you... In case you've ever wondered what happens when an Australian V8 Supercar meets a Kangaroo that wanders onto the racetrack...

KAZOOM's Sunrise To Sunset IV was GREAT!

It was our annual Fall Color Tour with our Miata Club...nearly 40 cars and 80 Mazda Miata enthusiasts made the weekend drive. From Tawas City on Lake Huron, to Traverse City and Lake Michigan. A bit chilly at times, but great roads, lots of really fun people and too much food! It was great...I'll have pictures up at KAZOOM.org soon!

79 in a 60 zone...OUCH!

For the first time in years (10...maybe 12), I got a speeding ticket today. Cripe! Go figure: the race car driver caught speeding! What do you think...should I fight it?

Freakin' State Troopers.

Bad Cop...No Donut.

Well...it's October...

and that means I turn 35 later this month. Cripe! I can't be 35. I'm WAY too cool for that ;) Well, if anyone can make 35 cool, I can.

Taking full advantage of the remaining top down Miata days, we'll be taking an after work drive this Wednesday...then this weekend is our KAZOOM Sunrise To Sunset color tour...get the details at www.KAZOOM.org.

I'm heading to Greater Media in Detroit on Thursday for a seminar with Chuck Mefford, a big time radio sales trainer. Should be interesting, plus I get to see my pal Lori Lott who's a sales rep for WIRF/WCSX.

So much to do in a 3 day work week!

Cripe, I'm SORE today! We worked on a bunch of cars for KAZOOM's Brake Job Tech Day yesterday, saving a load of cash for our club members. But rolling around on the ground doesn't do much for my shoulders.

I autocrossed my Spec Miata racecar on Saturday: I was the winner in D Street Prepared and only 1.5 seconds off the Fastest Time of the Day!

Congratulations to my good friend Mandi Snyder (now Mandi Keady) on her marriage to Mark on Saturday. Actually, they work together at the stations I used to work for; She's a sales rep for WKFR and Mark's alias is Jay Deacon, the afternoon host on WRKR. Great party: a huge burrito bar and a Mariachi band played!

Made it to another weekend!

It's FRIDAY!!! Whooo Hoooo... You know, it's creepy; I'm nearly 35 years old & still get a rise out of knowing I get a couple days to play at the end of the week. This weekend I'm going to:

I hear my Dad got a new Buick (a BUICK? Oh man...you're gettin' old on me Dad!). I had too much coffee this morning too: my hand was actually vibrating on my mouse (boy does that sound dirty!).
